School of Journalism at the University Alberto Hurtado is pleased to inform you that between 6 and Aug. 21 will be open nominations for the sixth version of the Journalism Award of Excellence. During this call, two weeks, receive papers published between January 1, 2008 and August 21, 2008. Will open new calls for articles published from August 22 onwards.
To encourage participation by chronic section of the capital and regional newspapers, the sixth version of the award category was added chronicle news. The other categories are: article, interview or profile, and critical opinion column or review.
Selected works will be compiled in a book published by the Universidad Alberto Hurtado. The terms of delivery of goods and the application period are detailed in the bases that are attached in this email. Please read them carefully as there are changes from previous versions.
For the first time this year the jury of PPE given a special award for best written work from the press. For more details, see the bases.
The jury of the 2008 version will consist of Eliana Rosas, Hector Soto, Raquel Correa, Sergio Prenafeta, Constanza Santa María, Ricardo Hepp, Andrea Palet, Matthias and Andrea River Road.
As in previous years, we hope to reach a broad and diverse participation in this initiative that seeks to recognize and encourage quality work in various media genres developed in newspapers.
